REF Museum is now online!
nine99's special project, REF, is now open! (www.refmuseum.com)
REF- Museum of References, is an online archive of references and influences between different fields and media.
The site is an extension of a final project in graphic design studies.The project was creating a corporate identity for a new conceptual museum in New York City that focuses exclusively on references and influences. Due to the museum’s research and educational nature, the graphic language was derived from Info-graphics, especially diagrams. since the premise is that everything is connected to each other by quotations or influences, the diagram was created in the shape of the relevant image while specifying the different art works or creators that are linked to the subject, thus adding another didactic layer to it.

REF deals with quotes and influences between art, popular culture, literature, music, etc. whether it's an homage, allusion, sampling, pastiche or intertextuality, everything around us is related.
Every few days a new post will be published about various subjects and once a month an extended spotlight (exhibition) about a specific artist or theme.
REF invites you to reply, remark and especially donate to growing archive of cultural references and enrich all of our experience and general knowledge.
The museum, is of course, free!

Herzliya Biennial 2009
A proposed identity for The Herzliya Biennial 2009 of Contemporary Art in Israel.
The design is based on the urban surroundings, which is the focus of the biennial (street art) and a bit of surreal style, while making sure not to overshadow the actual artwork.
A second, diagonal grid was used in the promotional materials to obtain a more vibrant, edgier feel.
project was made at the “Shenkar College of Engineering and Design”, Israel, 2008.
